“Mothers Pool” references an unused swimming pool built in the 50’s that was in back of the assisted living facility my mother was in at the time.  At one time it was a beach hotel.  The pool was drained and rusted with a frayed protective covering that was trying to hold on. I found it moving and a reference to vulnerability and aging.
